We are more than happy to provide you with more information about the different wines that we have available.
Ronda is a lesser known region for quality dry white and red wines. However, in recent years, Ronda winemakers have been revitalizing the potential of this historic winemaking region, putting Ronda back on the map as a first class destination for enotourism.
In 2001, the area obtained an official sub-appellation, “D.O. – Serranía de Ronda”.
There are currently 23 bodegas (wineries) in an area of approximately 250 hectares
of vineyards. In 2013, Ronda was included in the official wine routes that can
be found throughout Spain.
The Ronda mountains have special climate features and a unique geological diversity, giving the wines produced their distinctive character.
Winters are cold and humid with very hot summers. There are daily variations in temperature with warm days and cooler nights. Growing conditions are ideal for certain grape varieties such as Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah & Tempranillo (Tinto)
and Chardonnay, Macabeo & Sauvignon Blanc (Blanco).
Like Ronda itself, the wines are monumental, patient and tranquil. Ronda wine is fast becoming recognized both nationally and internationally. The best wines produced show
a powerful ripeness and intensity of fruit, balanced by good acidity. They generally have
a fruity bouquet, accentuated in the aged wines, imbuing them with complexity and their own unique aromas. On the palate, they are full-bodied wines with a deep lingering flavour, all the richer and more unctuous when left to mature.
